Padraig Reilly is the CEO and Founder of Boxcore, a construction-focused software company simplifying safety and workforce management for contractors across Ireland, the UK, and the US. A qualified civil engineer and project manager, Padraig brings over 15 years of on-site experience from large-scale infrastructure and commercial developments in Ireland, the UK, and Australia.
From Site Experience to Software Innovation
Padraig founded Boxcore in 2021 after growing frustrated with the outdated, manual processes dominating construction safety and compliance. Despite the rise of technology in other industries, too many construction teams were still managing worker onboarding, inductions, training logs and attendance with spreadsheets, folders, and emails.
“I saw firsthand how the gap between office systems and site operations was creating inefficiency,” says Padraig. “So we built Boxcore for the real environment – something that crews could actually use on-site with minimal training.”
Today, Boxcore is used on over 1,100 projects and hosts more than 40,000 worker profiles. The system supports everything from digital inductions and CSCS/Safepass tracking to facial recognition-powered attendance and audit readiness tools, all managed from a mobile-first platform.
Championing Adoption on the Ground
What sets Padraig apart as a founder is his obsessive focus on making construction software usable by field staff. From day one, Boxcore has been designed around site conditions: poor connectivity, tight timelines, and teams under pressure.
“Construction sites don’t have time for lengthy onboarding or clunky systems,” he explains. “Our platform is about speed, visibility, and accuracy – not giving teams another admin burden.”
This philosophy has been key to Boxcore’s widespread adoption by Tier One contractors, local builders and subcontractors alike. It also helped the company win the 2025 Product Innovation Award at the Irish Construction Excellence Awards.
Scaling Internationally – Without Losing Focus
Under Padraig’s leadership, Boxcore has expanded into the US market, securing partnerships with leading US-based contractors and one of North America’s Top 50 general contractors. With sales and customer success teams now in New York, the company is continuing to scale while staying close to frontline needs.
Internally, the business has grown rapidly with staff now across Ireland, the UK, Portugal, and the US – with continued hiring planned across engineering, sales, and customer support.
Real Tools, Real Impact
Padraig’s vision for Boxcore remains simple: help contractors save time, reduce admin, and improve safety by removing friction from day-to-day workflows. The company’s platform automates key processes such as:
Across Ireland and the UK, Boxcore supports CSCS and Safepass compliance. In the US, it enables contractors to track orientation training, SST cards and OSHA credentials.
“We’re not just ticking boxes – we’re making safety admin invisible,” says Padraig. “Contractors don’t need another system to manage. They need one that actually gets used.”
Looking Ahead
Padraig continues to drive product development through feedback from the field. New features and improvements are regularly rolled out to match the pace of change in construction regulations and on-site realities.
As Boxcore scales, Padraig remains hands-on in ensuring the platform stays true to its roots: practical, easy to use, and designed for crews on the ground.
